The core gameplay involves overseeing the lives of up to 34 Sims simultaneously. Players can help their Sims pursue different careers, with the ability to follow them to workplaces like a Police Station, Movie Studio, or Hospital. Beyond work, Sims can form relationships, fall in love, get married, and raise families. Players can also orchestrate social interactions, from throwing pool parties to dealing with interpersonal drama, allowing for a personalized narrative at every stage of a Sim’s life. Completing goals within the game earns Simoleons and other rewards, which can be used to further develop Sims and their surroundings.
